Wrap-up: December 2024

5 of the best from December

Phew! Where has this year gone? We’ve laughed, met and worked with some wonderful couples and exceedingly talented vendors, and fallen madly, hopelessly in love with butterfly delphiniums (give them a quick google!). Boss lady Jade has just about drank her weight in iced matcha too…

We hope you all have a safe, healthy, and relaxing holiday season. See you in 2025!

Everyone here at JMFS x

ONE – Masses of lemon yellow buttercups, fragrant white peonies, dark olive foliage, native green hydrangeas, and silver eucalyptus… try to find a more springlike bouquet! Mikayla and Dillion’s wedding florals were as pretty and enchanting as a Monet oil painting, with fresh and delicate pastel hues a big contrast to the vibrant pinky reds and other bold shades that dominated the beginning of the season. These beauties were softer and more ethereal – full of life without exploding in colour. The newlyweds also happen to be two of the loveliest and most lit-from-within humans we’ve had the privilege of working with in recent memory. To say the JMFS team can hardly wait to see more pictures from this dreamy day would be a gross understatement!

TWO – ‘Tis the season for beautiful bouquets! Bride Katherine’s was inspired by the organic character and vividness of a wild garden, featuring larger-than-life peach dahlias, magenta peonies, dainty baby blue delphinium, and blush pink spray roses. Almost every element of the rainbow was accounted for! The subtle hints of lilac tied in seamlessly with Bistro Molines’ rambling wisteria vines too. So romantic and thoughtful!

THREE – What are you doing on Sunday 19th January 2025? The JMFS team would LOVE to see you at the Peppers Creek Barrel Room and Chapel Open Day. It’s part of the inaugural ‘Say I Do’ event – a weekend dedicated to showcasing the Hunter Valley’s iconic wedding venues, boutique accommodation options, luxe spa retreats, and outdoor adventures. More than 50 other big-day vendors will be on hand throughout this roaming trail, which is purpose-built for soon-to-be-newlyweds (and their family and friends!). Did we mention celebratory drinks, exclusive discounts, and free registration? Head on over to Hunter Valley Wine and Tourism to secure your spot. The friendly faces at Peppers Creek Barrel Room and Chapel have also shared a complete list of their confirmed vendors here.

FOUR – At this time of year at JMFS, we love two things – Christmas pav and positive feedback from our couples. Luckily, neither are in short supply! This recent review from gorgeous Charlotte was a true gift in itself.

‘Jade McIntosh Flowers exceeded every expectation we had!

Walking into our venue felt like stepping into a dream—everything looked exactly like my Pinterest board. From the breathtaking florals to the stunning styling, every detail was thoughtfully executed and absolutely perfect.

The team was a pleasure to work with too—so organised, professional, and genuinely passionate about creating something magical. They understood our vision and brought it to life in a way that completely blew us away. I can’t thank them enough for making our day so beautiful.

If you’re looking for a floral and styling team that will make your wedding look and feel incredible, JMFS is the one to call!’

FIVE – Rachel and Cahal tied the knot at Peppers Creek on the 30th and it was just heavenly. A very memorable way to farewell 2024! With an intimate chapel ceremony, large and meticulously detailed barrel room reception, and classic sage and ivory styling throughout, this day had all the hallmarks of a traditional, picture-perfect wedding. Stems of gold-dyed baby’s breath in the bride’s bouquet were equally luxurious, doubling as a nod to the groom’s Irish heritage.
