Wrap-up: May 2025

News
This autumn may have been chillier and a lot wetter than usual, but it also gifted us some of the most memorable love stories here in the Hunter Valley. We’re always so grateful to be involved and relish the opportunity to bring your wedding floral and styling visions to life (hopefully even better than imagined!).
See you in June x

ONE

Ruby red. Magenta. Deep amethyst. Tangerine. Cobalt blue. Colours, everywhere! We’re not yet halfway through 2025 but this kaleidoscopic Indian wedding at Starline Alpacas is already firming up to be the most awe-inspiring highlight of our year. From the show-stopping mandap gazebo to the jewel-toned neck garlands and intimate reception under the stars, Nika and Nathan’s nuptials were as vivid as they were joyful – a huge privilege to be a part of! The JMFS team can’t think of a more exhilarating way to kick off the month and are excitedly (almost compulsively!) clicking refresh on our emails each day waiting for the full gallery. Stay tuned…

TWO

Florals and styling so captivating we had to do a double feature! In case it wasn’t obvious, we just can’t get enough of Nika and Nathan’s wedding. Relaxed boho linens and highly saturated hues = maximum impact! We especially loved the bright orange paper daisies, violet carnations, hot pink snapdragons and periwinkle delphiniums, which really popped against all the layers of airy cream fabrics. Polished gold chalices and Persian emerald rugs added a touch of luxe throughout the venue as well. And the romantic taper candles? Chef’s kiss! Future brides, do yourself a favour and save this for your fun, festive wedding day inspo!

THREE

Dry hiring styling items – aka hiring ceremony plinths, furniture and other props but setting these up yourself on the big day – is becoming increasingly popular in the wedding world. With so many benefits, it’s not hard to understand why! The team has popped an extensive list of pros (and a couple of potential drawbacks to be mindful of!) on our blog, along with links to our all-time favourite styling inclusions from the JMFS collection. Thank us later!

FOUR

Ah the look of love, the one that seems to stop time. It never gets old! Every beautiful detail of Amelie and Conor’s elopement at Peppers Creek was thoughtful and immaculate, inviting guests to quietly, wholeheartedly immerse themselves in the magic of this moment. Pash & Dash intimate celebrations are truly special and it was a massive honour to contribute our stunning seasonal florals to their latest ‘Dash Day’ in May. Keep a keen eye on our socials for pics from this enchanting event!

FIVE

Their roses were red, and violets blue. Nika and Nathan’s testimonial – such an uplifting, glowing review!
‘We hope you know how in awe we are of your beautiful work. From the florals to the arbor and mandap designs, we’re just shocked at how gorgeous everything turned out! We are so happy to have chosen the JMFS team. You all made our wedding absolutely stunning and lush – exactly how we wanted.’
