Jewel tones for the coolest, cosiest Winter wedding

News

Emerald green. Sapphire. Burgundy. Amethyst purple. Ruby. Simone and Kurt’s wedding flowers and styling at Peppers Creek were as vibrant as the couple’s decade-long connection. The entire setup was alluringly earthy and a little bit mysterious, and the intense jewel tones complemented the newlywed’s deep bond perfectly. They’re lucky to share a love story that’s authentic and with real substance.

Simone and Kurt met while studying event management at TAFE. Funnily enough, neither ended up pursuing this line of work though! They did, however, end up pursuing each other, with Kurt quickly relocating to Newcastle after reconnecting with Simone several years down the track. The two said ‘I do’ in the most charming sandstone chapel and continued their milestone celebration surrounded by family, friends, and vintage brass accents in the venue’s rustic barrel room. How special!

While it’s tricky to zero in on a single standout floral element, we’d be remiss not to highlight the sweet Columbian quicksand roses – for both sentimental and aesthetic reasons. These full-headed beauties were included to honour Kurt’s mum and Simone’s nan, and they also added some softness to their rich colour palette. We loved the blue-hued dollar gum, deep magenta cymbidium orchid and pretty pink protea too! Champagne glass votives and nude taper candles enhanced this bold and very beautiful Australian natives vibe as well.

This fairytale was complete with a romantic horse-drawn carriage and fun flash dance during the reception. A massive congratulations to Simone and Kurt. You were such a joy to work with x
