Burgundy. Plum purple. Gunmetal. Mottled turquoise. Sage. Dare we say it? BLACK.
Admittedly, these rich, brilliant hues are a bold transition from the light and airy palettes that have traditionally ruled wedding celebrations, but we’re starting to see many of our gorgeous couples embrace this experimental, edgier aesthetic – and we are so here for it! Inky shades are a little boho, a little mysterious and very dramatic. They’re also much more versatile than you would think, working for nearly every style & season (with the right adjustments, of course!).
For maximum impact at this time of year, we’re loving antique rose golds and deep russets. They’re warm and earthy, and perfectly compliment the changing leaves outside. Cool, crisp autumnal days lend themselves to daring, gothic-inspired pops of colour too, like graphite, crimson, violet, and forest green. There is a long, long list of possibilities!
To create a softer look (without compromising on the romance factor), we suggest adding in muted pinks, nudes and creams. These subtler tones are showstopping against a midnight backdrop.
