Boho vibes amongst the rainforest

News
WOW, what a way to start a new year!

Jenna and Hugh are the epitome of a slow burn (with a satisfying and incredibly beautiful ending!). Their love story has got us thinking that maybe, just maybe, serendipity is the answer to finding happily-ever-after, too.

Despite having lots of crossovers in their friendship group in Bathurst, the two didn’t actually meet until 2014 – and halfway across the world in Canada, of all places!

In one of life’s fleeting moments, they recall enjoying a random night out in Banff where Jenna was living for a small stint and Hugh was holidaying. And then, like something out of a feel-good movie that’s both funny and a little bit romantic, one spent the next couple of years trying to ‘woo’ the oblivious other.

Their connection may not have been immediately obvious to Jenna, but it naturally developed over time and now the newlyweds are quite literally #couplegoals. They’re kind, thoughtful, and so much fun together!

This summer wedding at Bidja Estate
was absolutely stunning. Jenna and Hugh said ‘I do’ amongst the venue’s rainforest, which is reminiscent of the natural amphitheatre at Byron Bay Parklands and a sentimental nod to Splendour in the Grass where they finally fell head-over-heels for each other. With lush greenery and bellbirds chirping, it really was magical.

For their ‘modern boho’ theme, we mixed fresh and everlasting florals. Jenna’s bouquet was particularly showstopping, featuring delicate phalaenopsis orchids, soft peach roses, dried pampas grass and super dramatic hanging amaranthus. Swoon!

After a covid-heavy few years, it was such a joy for us to see this lovely pair tie the knot surrounded by their nearest and dearest. Interstate and international guests being able to fly in and celebrate made Jenna and Hugh’s special day that much more memorable.

A massive congratulations x
