A celebration of colour

News

Beaming smiles, ethereal dresses in playful pastel hues, and the biggest dahlias we’ve seen this season… our team is absolutely LIVING for Rachael and Marc’s elegance-meets-maximalist wedding at Peterson House. Brimming with character and colour, their love story carried joy in almost every shade of the rainbow – and traversed several continents.

South African native Marc met Aussie Rachael in Dubai in 2019 and the two have been inseparable ever since. The expats still happily reside in the UAE but wanted to swap ‘I dos’ somewhere a little more tranquil (though no less rooted or sentimental). Enter: Peterson House. It was the very first venue Marc visited with Rachael and also a memorable first stop on the wine tours Rachael used to take with family and friends in years gone by.

Admittedly, Rachael changed her mind on a preferred palette a fair few times before the big day. In the end, she went with a splash of everything – and it was incredible! Bridesmaid posies with pops of crisp mint, soft peach, pale pink and baby blue complemented this bold and very dreamy aesthetic, as did the newlyweds’ two towering, asymmetrical ceremony arrangements. These stood at the front of Peterson House’s iconic sandstone chapel and were styled with wildflowers, including lisianthus, periwinkle delphinium, coral roses, and dainty Queen Anne’s lace.

Their reception was just as whimsical, hitting that elusive sweet spot between traditional and fun with romantic candlelight, deckled edge stationery, mismatched stem vases and hours of dancing. Not even a sudden downpour could put a damper on this wedding!

A huge and heartfelt congratulations to this gorgeous couple. Thank you so much for choosing us x
